Having a small fortune also means you can leave your home city if it is threatened by freak weather events exacerbated by climate change, like Ted Cruz just opting to fly to Cancun while his city freezes.

Youre looking at it myopically. Even if the money allows you personally to never get COVID or live in an area negatively affected by climate change, the global social ecosystem within which you operate is still enormously affected, which makes it a problem that affects you
