He had his own ministry and one of his apostles was his treasurer. Broke people don't need a treasurer. When he was crucified it said they cast lots to see who would get a piece of his cloak. His cloak was a one-piece robe, one of the most expensive articles of clothing at the time. On Palm Sunday he rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. By today's standards people think of that as a low form of travel when they read it, but 2000 years ago in the middle east, a donkey was like a Rolls Royce! Like the friggin' Pope-Mobile! Jesus rode into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday in a Bentley while wearing an expensive suit, all while his ministry began earning him a net worth. --- The Phantom has spoken! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
