| Naysaspace 01/12/22 6:48:43 PM #211: | the bullshit with most modern phones is they are manufactured in such a way that it is easy to manufacture, but not easy to repair. i've repaired my phone twice (replaced the charging port, due to a manufacturer software defect) -most motherboards are attached to the screen. it's not just a screen anymore, the screen IS the phone. So you used to be able to replace a screen for like 80 bucks. Not anymore. -Most phones are sealed under the guise of "Water resistance". Not only is that a load of shit, but it also makes it such that you need a new piece of glue-tape every time you disassemble the phone! You COULD use the old one, if you are careful, but it's not the best. -parts are oem, and especially for iphone or high end samsung, the aftermarket usually lags. phones are one of the FEW devices i encourage purchasing an extended warranty on -- at least to last the duration of your phone plan. --- #BladeGang ...
