Yeah I'm normally on the boat about just ignoring trolls, but sometimes shutting down your social media accounts or putting them on a ban list is the only way to deal with them. My younger sister, last year, was a victim to this where trolls at first were making derogatory comments about her because she appeared in a talk regarding a female empowerment college program for STEM majors. At first she ignored them, but it just wouldn't stop and it got to the point where it got invasive like one of them calling her workplace Boss and making false allegations on her being abusive towards her pets. She eventually shut down all her social media accounts and just recently opened it back up (since new years) and hasn't gotten any troll comments since. She is definitely going to be more vigilant regarding troll comments and most likely going to be blocking or banning a bunch of them if they do prop up.
