The mystery was more suspenseful and less cliched and predictable. I think this was a more likable cast overall, too. Both games are kind of difficult to play, even with the updated remakes, because the gameplay is very trial and error, and it's super easy to get stuck trying to figure out what exactly the game wants you to do in this particular situation. It felt like The Girl Who Stands Behind had less of that, but it might just be because I knew to expect it after the first game.
