Some good news from the CDC director.

Asked about a new study showing how successful vaccines have been in preventing serious illness and whether that should provoke rethinking about how to live with the virus in perpetuity, Walensky answered: "The overwhelming number of deaths, over 75%, occurred in people who had at least four comorbidities. So, really, these are people who were unwell to begin with. And yes, really encouraging news in the context of Omicron; this means not only just to get your primary series but to get your booster series. And yes, we're really encouraged by these results."

Theyre finally admitting the obvious - dying from or with covid are two different things and that your overall health matters, plus it looks like Omicron is pretty mild for most people. So if youre healthy, young, and boosted up it looks like you should be good.

Does anyone know how long after being positive I have to wait to get a booster? Im getting a bunch of different answers from people.

I don't have the source here, but the data the CDC director is talking about here is solely vaccinated people - as in, the vast majority of people who die after being vaccinated had at least four comorbidities.

Non-vaccinated data is assuredly different.
