Youre feeding and caring for this animal. If all you do is feed it and leave it outside to guard your house then you dont deserve a dog, imo. People can have guard dogs And no. Im not my cats parent, Im its owner. I see it as a combination of a child, brother, and friend, but not enough of a child for me to ever be referred to as his dad.
