So if hes using a publicly funded computer to break the laws that the taxpayers have voted people into office to pass, then isn't it the governments duty to enforce those laws so that the taxpayer isnt an accessory to a crime?


That has nothing to do with whether the computer is publicly funded or not. If a kid if looking at porn on his own computer or a school's computer, it's illegal and he/his parents would be punished.
Same if he was buying a baby or drugs or something. It's illegal everywhere, no matter what computer you're on.

The difference with the tweet thing is that it's not against the law.
