Yeah, basically

I wouldnt object to like shutting down bars for a month or whatever, but I dont think a March 2020 style lockdown would have sufficient compliance to the work at this point. Its looking like omicron (whether its from being intrinsically milder or from a much higher fraction of the cases being people with some preexisting immunity) leads to a lot less hospitalization per case than delta, so I dont think we need a full lockdown to avoid hospitals from being overwhelmed (at least in places with decent vaccine uptake). The lockdown itself would also kinda defeat the point of the secondary goal of stop simultaneous infections from shutting down society since youd be... voluntarily doing that.
