It's neat, great to scratch that Tactics itch. The storyline does the job well enough, it's nothing special. Gameplay-wise it's breakable like most Tactics games, the difficulty is very customizable (down to letting you pick whether enemies have more gear, reaction skills or consumables than you) but generally it'll get frustrating as enemies tend to have a fuckload of healing/defensive things going for them (imagine 50-70% of the enemy team being able to heal others and the occasional Phoenix Down/Raise going out) and it feels like a war of attrition to wear them down.
It has this system where any unit that dies in combat gets an injury/stat penalty and you have to let them sit out a combat to recover (only the MC is exempt), it quickly becomes useless as you can easily just do a random encounter in a low-level area to heal everyone up so I would suggest turning that off and then tuning the difficulty as you wish otherwise. The most annoying part is units accrue multiple injuries if you revive them in combat and they die again lol.
