Would like to drop Samus for now because I had a dumb idea I'm attached to.

A cat and a mouse locked in an eternal battle of cartoon tomfoolery. Tom and Jerry start the battle waging war on each other like in their cartoons, but can be persuaded to team up against a common enemy if provoked enough.

Tom uses weapons and explosives in his schemes with occasional success, and builds elaborate traps that he's usually the victim of. He's tough enough to take his plans backfiring on him but isn't full toonforce invincible and has died before.

Jerry often outwits whoever is unlucky enough to be chasing him and can pull surprising feats of strength (you know, for a mouse) when someone he cares about is threatened. Both of them are intelligent enough to play musical instruments and sports, and use weapons and technology.

Weaknesses: Tom's plans are usually foiled by either himself or dumb luck. Jerry is a mouse.
They'll generally be focusing on each other as much as their opponent.
