This is a fucking outrage. That man is basically part of their marketing team, producing content, building hype, saying a lot of really good, positive things about a lot of aspects of their productions.

"Nope. Can't have that."

Some companies still think it's stealing to stream games or review anime with clips, but... those companies don't realize that streamers and youtube creators are many times more effective than ordinary advertising when it comes to selling a show/game/movie.

Review channels drive traffic and build an audience beyond the reach of regular advertising. These are people with adblockers, people who trust the word of a small, independent reviewer they've watched for years way more than a generic magazine or website review.

And now Toei has successfully botched their reputation with his entire audience. He got hundreds of thousands of views regularly, and millions for his larger videos.

So, Toei is basically telling us that they don't care about their fans without telling us they don't care about their fans.
