The best case for Sheik making the bracket would be using Mega Man/X as a precedent and pointing out that there are a lot of different distinct Zeldas in the series just like Mega Man and that Sheik is the specific Zelda from OoT/MM that is distinct from say the Zelda from SS, who is her ancestor. But this also shows the issue with Sheik "replacing" Zelda. A huge part of Zelda's recent surge comes from BotW Zelda and other recent games with greater Zelda characterization and that's clearly an entirely different character than Sheik. If Sheik can "replace" Zelda, Geo Stelar can probably replace Mega Man as well, which would be pretty hilarious and crazy. --- congrats to azuarc, our GotD2 guru! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
