before, he was just a boring evil psychopath with nothing relatable, just evil. not an interesting character in any way.

so the fact that this expansion he was much more awkward and fit into this weird role after 83 where he was just sort of... skulking about as you did important plot things, and just awkwardly tries to get your attention and acts super cringe and has no role in the plot...

it's more interesting by default somehow LOL

i think they tried to go for a certain angle with the whole "admit it... you're like me... you also crave battle and new experiences..." thing, which was sort of meta trying to play on the fact that you, the player, like it when your main character fights stuff... but it sort of falls short, because in-universe, in terms of the real story, no, it's very easy to imagine that your character is just a truly good person who is only fighting to help others.
