Christmas isn't the subject, it just happens to be there. You can't be a christmas movie if you aren't about christmas. Boring joke. It's as much a christmas movie as the Mr Bean Movie is a thanksgiving one because he blows up a turkey. Literally every "spirit of Christmas" movie is about families reconciling some bullshit grudge to spend Christmas together. Sometimes they have Santa and sometimes they don't.
