Yep, I knew right away that she was crazy in the best way possible. THAT is how you introduce somebody you want the player to remember. I can already tell "I'm never gonna be able to forget her, am I?" I like that.

A few more things:
-Oscar seems like the generic "White Knight Swordsman" JRPG protagonist type. It's refreshing that he's a bad guy here. Guy thinks he's Flynn Schifo, but gonna be honest here: I certainly like him being a villain vs. Flynn being hardly playable. Flynn wasn't done too well, but as a man is pretty much who Oscar thinks he is. Or so is my initial assessment. I look forward to killing him later.

-I like what they're doing with the cast here. One of the reasons Abyss worked so well is that they had just six primarily playable characters (plus Ion, Mieu, and ...Asch the Bloody...), but all were from different backgrounds and factions. They're trying to replicate that here. Velvet is a therion - a part-daemon who feeds on other daemons to prevent a full transformation. Rokurou is a full daemon. Magilou is probably human, but I am so fascinated by her that it doesn't matter. Eleanor is an exorcist who certainly betrays the Abbey. Laphi is a zombie. And I forget who the other guy was (please don't tell me).

-I get the part about the weapons having skills that you get to keep if you master them. So I just leave it on a character until they've learned it, then move on to the next one. I do intend to sell all these extra weapons, especially if they're exclusive to one character.

-It's interesting how Rokurou has that huge sword as well as two daggers, but I presume that's a normal samurai kind of thing. You see that referenced a lot in JRPGs for a reason.
