Interesting how they followed that formula closely for the next few movies they released after that, with great success mind you. Underleveled posted... In fact, of the ten animated films Disney has formally adapted for the stage, 7 of then were from the Renaissance: I'd say all this is related in the reverse way too: The music and its plot integration was hugely responsible for the Renaissance being so great.
