Jack is being held against her will (Well hobson's choice) and has been tortured for years, is completely mentally unstable and suffers from PTSD and attachment issues (you can even intentionally mess with her head and just pump and dump her) Steve is on the rebound and your subordinate. Kelly is your subordinate and has PTSD Allers is a journalist being paid to write reports on you. Really the only romance that isn't kinda fucked up if you think about it is Garrus. He's there by choice, can leave any time, is not part of the military command structure, is mature and has no real tie forcing him to be your underling or hold you in awe. He's just a bro. Every other romance would get an ":/ Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh" reaction in the real world. Imagine your brother comes home one day and starts bragging that he fucked his barely legal subordinate who suffers from PTSD, isn't allowed to quit their job and worships him. While at work.
