He calls himself a guy. His goal in the games is to prove there is nothing wrong with him being a guy, since his village is superstitious about twins of the same gender. Outside of the village, he doesn't hide his gender. Wish he would return in later games. Enough time would have passed that he probably won't be able to pull off a girly look.
