Ah, didn't realize they were trans.

That said, that's a transphobic slur Delta.

Not cool!

Defamatory Language
Defamatory: "deceptive," "fooling," "pretending," "posing," "trap," or "masquerading"
Gender identity is an integral part of a person's identity. Do not characterize transgender people as "deceptive," as "fooling" or "trapping" others, or as "pretending" to be, "posing" or "masquerading" as a man or a woman. Such descriptions are inaccurate, defamatory and insulting. (See "passing" and "stealth" as problematic terms above.)

Yes, it's offensive. It's directly stating that hey, this person is only dressing up as a female in order to trick and prey on straight men.
Yes, that is incredibly offensive.

https://www.quora.com/Why-is-trap-a-transphobic-slur

Its a slur because some people started to use it as a slur. Originally, the word was referring to cross-dressing anime characters. However as people are wont to do because if nothing else we are one bunch of spiteful bastards, people started calling transgender peoples traps as well.
This is very hurtful for most trans people. It invalidates their identity. It makes it seem like they are mere crossdressers out there to fool people instead of being individuals who try to live in a way that they are more comfortable with. Its quite a transphobic thing to call someone.
Now the thing here is of course that there are many people who do not use this term to refer to transgender people but instead only use it in its original meaning - to refer to crossdressers and not transgender people without meaning any harm. The question then becomes, is it still an offensive term?
Many people, me included, would say yes. And the reason is that as long as it makes people uncomfortable with good reason (sometimes people get uncomfortable for reasons that are not all that valid, but this isnt really such a case), then its a term one should avoid using around people.
Even if you did not mean any negative thing with the term when saying it, it matters on how it is percieved. Many people see the word trap as harmful and it causes them distress. Therefore the decent thing is not to use it. If not at all, at least dont do it around people that would be uncomfortable with it.
Yes, the term used not to be loaded. Now it is loaded. Words and meanings change. Its unfortunate that it became a slur, but now that it is perhaps one should be careful on how it is used.

I'm gonna give you benefit of the doubt and assume that you didn't know this. I've only known this for about 3 years myself. Please, try to remember not to use it anymore, not just around me, but entirely.

Unless you're loaded, save your money, and wait for sales. This isn't the 90's anymore, and most games don't become hard to find. And don't pre-order.
