When my ex left me it took me like 4 years to get over it (it was a mess and a lot of friends went with her and yada yada) so Id say youre making good progress. You recognized that you werent emotionally available/ready to date again, which means youre pretty introspective so Id say just keep recognizing when the negativity starts taking hold and adjusting yourself as needed with it. Mainly I just wannna say keep your head up and moving forward. You got this brother, keeps getting easier with time. edit: FWIW its been almost 8 years now and my ex still pops into my head at random times.
