So, it's less about an AI going on the warpath against the players and more about him coming to terms with his sentience while helping two people in the real world recover some stolen code hidden in the game. And while that may sound boring, it's definitely not. There's still plenty of humor, action, and meta jokes. It is absolutely worth a watch! The best kind of video game movie isn't one based off a specific game, but by the spirit of games in general. That kind of frantic, hardcore fun of when you're in the zone.
