Should have let it go 13.64% (3 votes) 3 22 y/o Christopher Pogozelski, an Ohio Actor working at a haunted house for Halloween was FIRED after he accidentally STABBED an 11 y/o boy with a REAL Bowie-Style Knife the was carrying as a prop after he replaced the FAKE one with one he had at HOME!! It happened at 7 Floors of Hell Haunted House in Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds at 8pm on Sept 18 when he was among several employees working that night attempting to scare people When Frank Bednarski (the child attacked), his sister and a friend approached the house when one of the men started scraping the knife on the ground in front of them and began stabbing at the ground near the boy's feet The knife went through his red Croc styled shoe and cut his left toe which was bleeding slightly. When police arrived, staff applied first aid on his toe as his mother, Karen was called. Karen told the news that her son went to the haunted house that night with his older sister and family friends in hopes of getting some good, scary fun She said "He walked up to my son and he was holding the knife and his intentions were to scare him but my son responded to him by saying 'that's fake. i'm not scared' and then began stabbing at his foot" She was upset at how staff responded afterwards stating "accidents happen, accidents happen" The 22 y/o from Middleburg Heights told police he brought the knife from home even though the haunted house provides them fake props They told him it was not a good idea to do that and confiscated the knife as he said he had no intentions of hurting anybody When asked if she wanted to take her son to the hospital, Karen said No because her son wanted to CONTINUE going through the haunted house and said "I didn't want to make a scene of course. I wanted to go about it the appropriate way. I didn't want to be that KAREN on the internet" Karen later decided to pursue negligent assault charges who said "The biggest thing for me is, you know, i don't understand the mental state of this man. There's got to be something wrong with him and he should not be working at an establishment like that.
