I'm starting to consider getting this now, between people on here making me want to play again and my brother raving about it. What are some good builds that are cheap? (like good with runewords that have easy to farm runes). Preferably ones that don't get fucked by hell enemies with immunities. I was never really great back in the day and only really did well with ww barb and orb/mf sorc.

went ahead and bought. There is a pretty easy necro build that can apparently run naked so I'm going to start with that. Never played necro much originally either so it should be a fun something new. Gonna try controller mode. Hopefully my controller doesn't get wonky (left trigger gets weird sometimes and left thumbstick sometimes drifts. Gets really bad at times but then will be fine for days. I don't get why and I took it apart and didn't see any issues internally). I am hoping I don't have to buy a new one and I am not really a fan of keyboard and mouse without skillbar

A Summon/Fishymancer is definitely one of the better builds that doesn't get screwed by Hell Immunities. Very few enemies are Physical Immune, and Corpse Explosion does 50% Fire/Physical damage, so you're well covered.

You won't be flying through Hell like you would with a well geared Hammerdin / Light Sorc / Javazon, but it certainly stands alongside other poorly geared builds.

Aside from that, you have:

• The cookie cutter Hammerdin. Like Physical, few enemies resist Magic damage.
• The Wind Druid, which primarily uses Physical damage.
• The Trap Assassin. While there are many Lightning Immunes in Hell, the Assassin has tools to deal with them: Fire Blast and Death Sentry (which triggers Corpse Explosions).
