I showed up for day 2 of the smash club thing. ended up being fine. I gotta remember to bring my own controller. I may try to get used to GameCube controllers again, because I'm too lazy to connect and disconnect. one thing that's unusual: most of the people in the group really like tap jump being on, and smash stick being on. that really fucks up my ability to play Yoshi, so I need to reconfigure the controls next time.

That's cool. It's great that you had a better experience this time around, you'll eventually see who is around your level and stuff like that so you can improve with others. And yeah, keeping a profile helps a lot.

Also I just realized ultimate is almost 3 years old. I remember when I first started playing and when I play JTilly and got my ass kicked by him around the start of Ult.
