My issue was Endgame was the messy story and the way Thanos just does a 180 from being a well written, nuanced villain to a lame generic villain. As well as a few other issues. It's top 10 easily, but Infinity War was just a better movie overall, imo.
The latter point was a subtleish joke about his character development, from being this cameo to turning totally sympathetic villain, and all the redesigns he went through. I loved that.

The Infinity Wars films seem to have been modeled after Kill Bill. The first is pretty straight forward, ending on an epic cliffhanger that finds its way into the second movie. However, the second movie takes an entirely different approach, capitalizing on the experimental nuances of the first film by bringing the themes fully about into the realm of the weird, by placing its characters in nightmarish surreal scenarios, and arguably altering the genre of the movie multiple times, before coming to a head at a home, where raw personal carnage reveals itself, and the we end in a wholesome way that juxtaposes the cliffhanger from the first one, sending the audience unbridled into their future.
