Streets of Rage 3 (PC/Genesis)

Replayed via Sega Genesis Collection on Steam while playing with a friend online.
We opted to play with a mod called The Bare Knuckle 3 Project. It's basically the Japanese version with the true difficulty settings that got messed up in the American version, the story translated, and all the hidden characters unlocked (Roo, Shiva, Ash) at the character select screen. The mod even has a playable Max and Adam. But we didn't get too crazy with that.

I was Blaze and my friend picked Dr. Zan. Got the best ending.

Akane (PC)

Replayed. I played this on the Switch last year.
Unlocked all the gear and got the final scene.
Still one of my favorite arcade style games to come back to.

Mega Man X3 (PC/SNES)

Replayed via Mega Man X Legacy Collection.
Game is ok...but having played this game recently made me realized it's the worst of the SNES X trilogy. They amped up the difficulty when starting out, but gets easier with upgrades. Charged Up X Buster Shots are not as strong as they are supposed to be like in X1 and X2. You're better off using rapid fire shots or the other Special Weapons to dispatch most enemies. Bosses get looped easily when using the special weapons. The large majority of the bosses even have a lot of the exact same attack patterns. X Buster Upgrade is also very underwhelming and awkward to use...

I do like finding the secrets every time I play. Most of the secrets are hidden in clever spots. Always a fun thing to do like in every X game before it.
