Patrons at restaurants would try to film you? Why?
Mostly when they got pissed over the prices and I couldnt adjust them. One guy got pissed that the price of fries went up by like nine cents and we didnt have time to adjust the menu because corporate changed the price in the computer without telling us. The whole exchange was between him and the GM, but I was in the line of fire because I was up front and the guy went into the lobby to fight with my manager. He wouldnt leave until they called the cops. I honestly think that guy was off his meds or something, so I didnt take that one personally. Im probably featured in his online video, though. Hopefully he didnt have many followers.

Other times, there were just people who intentionally went in to heckle us and didnt even want to buy something. There were a lot of drunks who did that and a lot of high school kids (they could, unfortunately, walk there from school). This one drunk started screaming and filming the staff because the manager told him he couldnt go inside with an open bottle of liquor. I wasnt there for that, but I legitimately saw it on Facebook.

This is largely why most people who have recently had a restaurant job refuse to go back. The pay sucks, but everyone knows that going into it. The customers are more abusive than ever before. Picking on food and service workers is practically a national sport now.
