Not "this pains me horrible", more of a "I am questioning the life choices of the performer" kind of horrible. Don't get me wrong, I'm cool with dissonance... just... why? With proper instrumentation (like many of the piano parts), I am fairly into the music. Love that the second song turned into Unsettling Opponent for a couple of minutes. And I must admit, I am a fan of walking bass. The later songs as a whole are more to my liking, but for some reason the sound quality seems to drop for each excessive one, to the point where I can't listen to more than a minute or two of the last one without losing my mind. A shame; I was really growing to like them. Very solid background music. Not quite something I'd go out of my way to actively listen to.
