No. For an anime that was running at the same time hunter x hunter was way better, but that wasnt on adult swim so most teenagers never saw it like they did with fma. fma was a perfectly fine gateway anime, but anybody who has a developed understanding of the cinematic arts both in anime and regular media can point out the multiple flaws in fma that keep it from being truly great.
