hmmmmm there are a few choices I wanted to go with but I'll just go with this for now

Norma Jean - Wrongdoers

Well... at least this singing isn't growling! My hair is long enough to headbang now, but it's hard to get into that state of mind on a nice holiday day off. I can kind of detach myself and imagine how cool this would be to listen to at a concert, in an environment when I'm hyped. And, what I was originally going to say before I got distracted by the vocals was that me and Bane's taste don't necessarily heavily overlap, but his tastes and knowledge is broad enough that he'll have music I like always onhand. The instrumentals are great in the first song, and my issue with the singing is basically a mood thing, as opposed to actually finding them distasteful. Although I can't help but laugh whenever they first come on in a given song. Especially the second. Even you can admit they're a little overdone there...

...This is really exhausting to listen through. By track 3 I'm starting to hunker down and isolate myself from the music, and I can't focus on it in critical detail any longer. I made it through, but I'm not relistening to this. As I said, I'd be happier with the vocals in a more appropriate mood, however, even then I'd get overwhelmed before too long. This album is just Too Much, the first in this ranking where I find the whole much lower than the sum of its parts. Sorry bane. I consider Gallery of Sleep the winner in my heart.

"Be careful not to cut yourself" indeed.
