So if hate for Susan Collins is mostly because she's further to the right than expected for someone from her state, why doesn't this topic adore Joe Manchin (who is similarly further left than his state)? Manchin is further left than his state, but still blocks the Democratic Agenda. Especially when that agenda actually helps people. (Let's not forget that his daughter raised the price of EpiPens by 400%!) Sure, he's the reason why Mitch McConnell isn't blocking Biden's agenda. But now Manchin is blocking it himself. There's a functional difference (namely federal judges) but it'd sure be nice if Manchin tried a bit harder to sell his state on infrastructure that will help them. Collins on the other hand mostly virtue signals her beliefs, but as soon as McConnell says "Jump!" she asks "How high?"
