The pitbull and the cop play the short game, trying to destroy the other as quickly as possible. The landlord meanwhile plays the long game, bleeding them dry with the power of rent.

Cop takes out the pitbull first, but faces scrutiny for doing it with a body cam on and goes to court. While the slow judicial process takes place, the cop is also paying rent. And unbeknownst to him, the landlord had updated the policies to make payments biweekly instead of monthly. And when the cop finally leaves court with a verdict of suspended with pay for 6 weeks, its too late. Hes been evicted and has to face a brutal San Diego winter with no roof over his head.
