Remember, some states like Florida have undercounted deaths.

More local elections? It's not impossible, but areas where the vast majority of people dying are of similar political affiliations are generally areas where the vast majority of people in general share that same affiliation anyway, and Covid's not killing enough people to change that. I expect a few elections will be influenced by Covid deaths in particularly contentious areas, but nothing on a really large scale.
Remember, not all Americans in Republican majority districts are Republican.

And a lot of Republicans are fat and old, so the chances of them dying are significantly higher than Democrats.

79% of COVID hospitalizations and deaths are from obese and older people.

It places like the South, and in Florida and Texas, I expect there to be at least a few Democratic gains in elections.
