There is a world of difference in the social skills/development of home school vs public school students. Kids need to learn how to socialize and interact with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, and you simply cannot replicate that in the home. They also need that small bit of independence that being in school offers and being out from beneath mommy's skirt --- "You go.
