I gotta say, I'm really disappointed in this year's set of retirees. My average rating for retirees for my first fully-invested VGMC, 13, was 8.46. The average score for VGMC 14 was 9.06(!), holy crap, I forgot about how high that score was! The average score for VGMC 15 is 8.07. That puts this contest at 6th place among the 15 contests, just barely better than average. But the reason why this was such a disappointing VGMC for me is that none of my very favorites (9.5+ rating) retired. There were three of them that made it to R4, but they all lost that round. To add to the discouragement, those three were in my top five of the whole contest. Better luck next time, huh?

There was one aspect that went very well for me, however--all five of my nominations made it to round 3 (PLUS two noms I claim partial ownership of), and three made it to round 4!!!
