Takumi is writing a Sherlock Holmes novel with GAA more than he's writing an Ace Attorney game, and in a mystery novel, the mystery builds and builds until the big resolution at the end, as opposed to Ace Attorney, which may have an overarching story it's trying to tell, but each episode is largely self-contained.

The previous AA games are more similar to Sherlock Holmes books if anything, since most of them are short stories.

And none of the Sherlock boss are anything like GAA, which is a collection of related mysteries that're part of a bigger mystery.
