I think most people try to avoid crying in public regardless of gender. Some people can't help it in certain situations but it's a weird thing to take pride in doing.
Also I decided to actually check your links to see what you were flexing your emotional strength over.

The one article was about him getting emotional dropping off kid to college for the first time, wasn't in public and was admitted to in an interview. How is that something 'odd'.

His grandmother dying, okay. Can't see anyone being upset over him crying there

Teared up at the funeral of Dorothy Height. Okay, it's a funeral. Seems normal to me.

Teared up at the press conference about Sandy Hook. Again, tearing up when discussing dozens of children being murdered. Seems normal.

Teared up at the funeral of Daniel Inouye. Again, funeral. Normal.

Teared up during an Aretha Franklin performance. If it meant a lot to him, can't see having a tear being some massive issue. Maybe the only example here where someone could go 'lol' over.

Last example on that article was tearing up when discussing new gun laws... in relationship to kids being murdered in a school. So two of the seven examples are Sandy Hook. Gotta double dip.

Imagine being upset over ANY of these.
