Somebody in mid-90s Capcom really liked the short hair cuties. There's the blonde chick from Final Fight 3, the redhead from Dino Crisis, and Jill from Resident Evil 3.

I never played those games. I didn't want to play as a character who was falling out of her top when I personally didn't find her attractive. It's distracting from the main game to have someone wearing skimpy attires in a crisis situation and it doesn't compensate for it with eye candy because it's not a flavor I care for.

Running from dinosaurs and zombies? Awesome. Playing as a Playboy bunny who doesn't rev your engine? "I'm playing this game for the dinosaurs, I swear."

Maybe it is better to have non-sexualized characters.
