I always figured that the view of what constitutes "ancient" gamers being so skewed was intentional. I mean these are games that were about ten years old at the time. This is probably supposed to represent what a dumb junior high kid would think was cool and profound. Also ANY meme that suggests Jared Leto Joker is in any way cool, I assume is being ironic.
