The penultimate boss was taken from Comix Zone and had water based attacks. The gameplay was like a slower version of Street Fighter II, but it would zoom in on certain attacks and freeze on the kill shot like in Samurai Showdown. I do remember, from the context of the dream, that I had lost with one character to an earlier opponent before switching characters and defeating them. But I don't think those fights were actively a part of the dream.
