For me it was only really a problem in indoor track, where the track is 200m instead of 400m, that and being 6'5" didn't help much. It's more of a disadvantage for taller runners, and depending on the race the shorter distance makes up for the tighter turn.

This is what most people said: it's more of a problem on indoor tracks.

But even though it doesn't feel as bad on outdoor, it's still a disadvantage because you have to turn sharper and your inertia wants you to go straight.
