| Compsognathus 08/02/21 1:30:10 AM #17: | Just FYI Fox the broadcast channel and Fox News are both owned by the same company. Family Guy is owned by Disney and is licensed by Fox. It was Renewed by Fox through the 22-23 season. So Disney would likely be breaking some contract to pull the show from the network. Lost_All_Senses posted... I was laying in bed the other night watching Cleveland Show, just wondering what makes it so Fox News is so conservative yet all the shows are way more left leaning. To the point they insult Fox News directly. I was wondering if Fox News benefits at all directly from money those shows pull in. Don't pretend corporations have political leanings beyond "make money". Fox News isn't conservative because it owners are conservative but because it gives them a huge demographic of viewers. If they had reason to believe that being more liberal would make them substantially more money, they absolutely would. They do that same calculus for all their properties. Fox the broadcast channel basically made its start as the irrelevant, edgy channel with shows like Married With Children and the Simpson's. That is their market.
