Topic	America's Got Talent is a really shitty show.

Like you said, the sob stories, the build up, all the shitty side stuff makes me not watch the show at all. But if it's 2 days later and a youtube video has like 10 million hits from the show, I check it out. Rather watch a 4 minute clip opposed to sitting through an hour of filler and fan service. --- Above us lay the burdens, Below us lay the truths.
