Well, he insisted the US stay out of WWI, up until the point where we had basically no choice but to get involved, and our late involvement made for a shoddy resolution to the conflict. Roosevelt wanted to get involved much sooner, but he lost the election, so so much for that. Also, he did absolutely nothing to help the country during the 1918 pandemic. Never even spoke about it publicly. The states were left to fend for themselves.
