The polio vax is around 90% effective with 2 doses. Around 99% effective with 3. Much like the Pfizer and Moderna with COVID. Arguably, the real steel curtain is herd immunity though - which is why the U.S. still gives the polio shot - to maintain herd immunity. It means the virus has almost nowhere to spread.
