Trying to figure that out, lol

Does anyone understand how streaming works this time (in the U.S.)?
I don't give a shit about "Team USA", I just want to watch a ton of stuff from the sports I like, regardless of who's playing. Some of the stuff I like is so niche, like Badminton, that it's not even listed on PeacockTV.

In past Olympics, I could go on NBCOlympics.com and w/ an online login from a cable account, watch streams of pretty much every match. Some had foreign announcers, some had no commentary at all, I never really cared.
Looks like NBCOlympics still exists, but I don't know if it still requires a cable account login? I don't have that anymore... At least for now, it's letting me load videos of 2016 highlights w/o issue...

But now there's also Peacock? I signed up, but it looks like they're ONLY showing matches involving American athletes or that are for medals, so even the paid tiers are pretty worthless to me.

Just trying to figure out what I need to watch the raw online streams from events no one else gives a shit about, basically. Can't find an answer w/ google or reddit.
