This movie seemed like it was going through someone's life, someone's memories, and I thought it was Lucy's memories for a majority of the time. But the last 20 mins or so, pretty much from the Ice Cream pitstop, it seemed like it shifted to be more of Jake's. I'm so confused. Who the hell gets Ice Cream in a blizzard?
But I guess that was the point. Things were just a little off. It all started during the awkward dinner scene. I also vaguely remember seeing a couple rehearsing a dance in a school hallway and looking terrible and out of sync. And then we get that dance scene towards the end with professionals, which was my favorite part of the movie. I noticed the janitor coat in the washer when Lucy went down to the basement to clean the nightgown. It all seemed like a lucid dream. Is Lucy the dream?
The long talks in the car got old after a while. They just dragged on about random shit. Jake has the personality and charisma of a serial killer. Everything became just so gloomy and depressing. Though I couldn't stop laughing at how horrible the makeup was on everyone in the scene where he accepts an award or whatever. It looked like they just grabbed a black Sharpie and drew wrinkles in.
Eh, 6/10, I guess.
