This movie was bizarre. The way it started off I had some Fight Club vibes, and then some Matrix vibes when the Drum & Bass kicks in. I didn't mind the black and white, and the dialogue between Max and his Go playing friend, forgot his name, the one who had the strokes, they were interesting. Same with Max and the random Jewish guy who suspiciously would show up everywhere he went. This movie was just strange. Like you were in the mind of someone going insane. Or someone suffering from a brain tumor or mental illness.
That guy in the subway that was bleeding out, that was himself, right? And him coming across a brain on the stairs and poking at it. Made it seem like it was his brain. That scene near the end was pretty gruesome, if only for a second. I really don't know how I feel about this one. The premise was interesting with him finding the 216 digit number, but then they lost me with the religious stuff - God's real name is a 216 digit number!? I mean, I do like the theory of God being a super computer, but I usually keep that to myself so others don't think I'm crazy. >,>
