As a kid, there were two things that I was obsessed with: the Ninja Turtles and the Power Rangers. I remember seeing this in theatres, and also the next movie with car Zords. This was a trip down memory lane. It's funny how much of this stuff I kinda remembered. I did forget about Dulcea, too, which is weird. She's hot af. It's a shame she didn't have a bigger role. Her character is straight out of Chrono Trigger (Ayla).
The CGI didn't age well. Especially the Zord fights. But back then that shit looked amazing! There were some cheesy one-liners, but some of them were OK. Kimberly had a lot of puns. The fight that had the most was when they fought those four rock dudes at the monolith. "Back off boulder breath", "hey, lava-head!", "let's rock his world", "talk about a splitting headache".
Super corny but I enjoyed it mostly cause of nostalgia. Ivan Ooze was a character, fur sure. I use to watch the show but other than the green ranger drama and white ranger, I don't remember much. Did they adopt these sacred animals from this movie into the show?
Alot of stuff didn't make sense, but the funniest is how they bring up ryan's comet out of nowhere. Did they even mention it early on? The knee to the crotch for emergencies, aye-yai-yai-yai-yai.
The soundtrack still slaps, though. 5/10
